From the Principal's Desk...

Dear Parents-

It has been a flurry of activity as we drew the 2024-2025 school year to a close. The year officially turns over July 1st.

I am set to spend a week at the lake where my family has been joining my siblings and their families for the last 36 summers. I am the youngest of eight children and even though we are all a little grayer now, it is still exciting to think about being next door neighbors for a week. I am looking forward to time spent with my children and grandchildren as well. I am sure that grandma will get to spend hours at the pool and playground! Time seems to slip away at my age, so I cherish the time that I have to be with family.

When I return, we will be getting all the back to school items ready to send out, school supplies will be in the stores, and we will all have begun to count the weeks until summer ends.

I am thrilled to introduce our new teachers to you below. We had many qualified applicants for these positions. I am confident that our Divine Mercy Team will be strengthen by these three quality educators.

These wonderful summer days go so quickly. I pray that you find time to cherish with your families. Make some memories and hold on to the gift of time spent together.

Welcome New Teachers for

Hello DMCS Families and Artists!

My name is Anna Amacher/ Mrs. Amacher (Ah-ma-ker)

I am thrilled to be teaching art Preschool-5th grade at DMCS next fall.

This is my 8th year teaching elementary art, and it is my dream job! I aspire to teach all students about various artists, art history, and introduce them to a variety of art mediums.

I am a St. Ben’s/St. Johns University Alumna and recently moved to Faribault with my husband Josh. A fun fact- Josh went to DMCS! I love painting, baking, and spending time with friends and family. We are expecting a baby girl at the end of August, so I will not be starting at DMCS until later in November.

I am so excited to meet all the young artists at DMCS and look forward to meeting more DMCS families this fall.

Hello. My name is Michelle Wood. I graduated from Minnesota State University Mankato in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Middle School Math Minor, and a certification in STEM. I have been a substitute teacher at DMCS since 2019. I have done many long term substitute positions at DMCS throughout the years. I am very passionate about teaching and engaging with my students as well as watching them grow.

Hello, my name is Caroline Sauer, and I am excited to join the DMCS family as a 1st grade teacher! I am a recent graduate from Gustavus Adolphus College, as well as a 2021 graduate of Bethlehem Academy. I have worked at DMCS as a Summer Care teacher for the past 5 summers, and I am very excited to begin this new chapter at such a wonderful school. I am an avid reader, I love to be outside, and I love to be creative. I am thrilled to partner with you to help your students grow this year!
