Dear Parents-
Happy March! Could we say this snowstorm was “In Like a Lion” or do we still have more to come? That’s the best thing about Minnesota…you never know! However, in the spirit of practicing my ‘gratitude attitude’ (Gratitude is the virtue we are practicing the next two weeks), I will say the snow is beautiful and the students sure did have fun playing in it today!
Thank you for helping our students practice almsgiving this Lent through praying for and collecting change for the Living Water project. Living Water works tirelessly to provide communities with clean and reliable access to water. As your child about the video that they saw on Monday. It was about how vital access to water is for communities in Africa. We sent a water bottle home with each child for collecting loose change this Lenten season and we will be collecting them April 14-17th so we can send the money to this charitable organization. Thank you for your help!
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow night, Friday, March 7th. We will host our 1st ever DMCS Meat Raffle! Please plan to join us for fun and fundraising from 6-9 PM that evening. This event is being held in place of the annual scholarship gala and is meant to raise funds for scholarships. Every dollar raised will be given to those who need financial assistance to attend our school. Thank you for your generosity and help in this important endeavor. We are working to include more people, have more fun, and raise more scholarship dollars. Tickets can be bought in advance by contacting the office. Can’t attend but want to help? The silent auction is now available online and includes a fund-a-need area for scholarships. Every dollar raised goes to help students at our school. Please spread the word!
We spring-ahead to daylight savings time this weekend on Saturday night, March 8th when we set our clocks ahead one hour. This is always one of my least favorite activities as we anticipate spring. It seems like it takes a few weeks to adjust to this time change.
Third quarter ends on Friday, March 14th. Look for report cards to be sent home on Thursday, March 27th. Three-fourths of the year has passed so quickly!
We are looking forward to our Spring Break. There is no school during the week of March 17-21st. Look for information on summer care coming out the week of March 24th. We are excited to spend our first summer here!
Thank you to all who have registered for the 2025-2026 school year. This helps in our planning! Please get this completed soon, if you have not done so. You can contact Allie Luckow (aluckow@dmcs.cc) if you are not planning to return or have any questions. God is Good! All the Time!
I am grateful for all his blessings!
With God, All Things Are Possible!
